3 Strength and Balance Exercises for Confidence

In our recent poll about small habits, 36% of respondents shared that daily strength and balance exercises help them feel safer. They're onto something! These simple movements can boost stability, reduce fall risks, and help you feel more confident at home and on the go:

1. Heel-to-Toe Walking

Improve your balance by walking in a straight line, placing one foot directly in front of the other so your heel touches your toe with each step. It’s a simple but effective way to practice stability.

2. Chair Yoga

Chair yoga is perfect for anyone looking to improve flexibility and balance without even needing to stand. Try seated forward bends to stretch your back and legs, seated twists to ease tension, or gentle seated marches to strengthen your core and legs.

3. Side Leg Raises

Strengthen your hips and improve balance with side leg raises. Hold onto a sturdy chair, lift one leg to the side as high as you can, then lower it slowly. Repeat on each side for a few reps daily.

Building strength and balance doesn’t have to be complicated. These small exercises can make a big difference in how steady and confident you feel. Pair your efforts with a Medical Guardian device for an extra layer of security!

Say Goodbye to Dark Circles and Creasing with These Pro Makeup Artist Tips + Top Correctors & Concealers for Mature Skin

If the eyes are the window to the soul, then the skin around them can indicate just how old a soul we are! It’s simply a fact of life that the skin around our eyes is different. Loss of collagen and elastin translates to thinner and more delicate skin which shows signs of aging much faster. And our wonderfully expressive eyes experience micro contractions throughout our lives as we smile, laugh, and squint.

Today I’ll share with you tips on how to correct dark circles and prevent creasing, and I’ll also share with you some of the top correctors and concealers for mature skin.

Longevity Tip of the Day

Ice, ice baby — From plunging your face in cold water (I wouldn’t recommend this if you’re prone to broken capillaries or rosacea) to cold showers, to state of the art cryo-chambers, there’s an ice bath out there for you. With increasing evidence that controlled cold exposure can reduce inflammation and increase longevity.

Slang Phrase of the Day

Phrase: Big Yikes
Meaning: The slang speaks for itself in this one. Big Yikes is used when you're so embarrassed that "yikes" doesn't do justice.

In a sentence: "I spilled wine all over myself on the date last night. Big Yikes.’"

Bison Ranchers Return Thousands of Animals to Native Lands and Witness Total Rejuvenation of Ecosystem

A tribal-led nonprofit is creating a network of native bison ranchers that are restoring ecosystems on the Great Plains, restoring native ranchers’ connections with their ancestral land, and restoring the native diet that their ancestors relied on.

Called the Tanka Fund, they coordinate donors and partners to help ranchers secure grazing land access, funds needed to install and repair fencing, increase their herd sizes, and access markets for bison meat across the country.
