What's your preferred way to read a book? |
Reading aids to keep us reading
Past a certain age (we wonāt say which age exactly), books can be a little trickier for us to navigate. Smaller type gets harder to read and some of us can have trouble grasping heavier books for long periods.
Even if books arenāt your thing, there are manuals, fine print, bills and other things that get harder to read as we age.
But not to worry, there are options out there to help us keep readingāeven if it is for bills.
Magnifying Appāthe Brighter and Bigger app is like having zoom-able reading glasses. It uses your phone camera to magnify, brighten, and zoom so you can get the big picture from fine print. Available for Android or Apple.
Hand-held magnifying glassāthe Vive Health LED Magnifying Glass is a good choice for those who prefer not to use their phone. Highly reviewed, it provides a clear light and comes with easily switchable lenses. Available for $10.99, with 10% off your first order if you enter your email.
Hands-free reading lightāthe Glocusent Neck Reading Light is a rechargeable, long-lasting, and comfortable reading light for those who like to read in bed. Itās flexible arms let you find the perfect angle for you. Available at Amazon for &18.99.

Audiobooksāyou can of course simply turn to audiobooks, using an app such as Audible (which is $14.95 a month) or on Spotify, which has started adding many audiobooks. Audiobooks can be a fun way to readāmany authors read their own books, while others use professional voice actors for a fun experience.

Yesterdayās Poll Results - How comfortable do you feel using technology to track your health?
