Sleep tips for a good night’s rest

Sleep. Something we all do—have to do—every day. And yet, it’s such a challenge for many of to get enough good hours of quality deep sleep.

Here are some tips for a more restful sleep.

  • Have a routine—our brains are creatures of habit. Developing a routine will help prepare your brain for sleep. Something as simple as changing into comfies or washing your face every night can help you begin shutting off.

  • Block out the light—we were made to sleep in the dark of night, not with streetlights shining into our rooms. Try switching to blackout curtains/blinds or a comfortable face mask.

  • Limit alcohol just before bed—A nightcap can actually make sleep harder to come by—not to mention also making you need to get up to use the bathroom.

  • Try napping, and drinking coffee, earlier—naps and coffee taken too late in the day are two sure-fire ways to make it harder to sleep at bedtime. Enjoy both before 3pm.

Send in any tips you have for a good night’s sleep and we’ll include them next week!
