Definition: An acronym that stands for: Role-playing game, a genre of games where the player controls a character and explores an imaginary world.

Quit Smoking — We know giving up cigarettes can lengthen your life, but by how much may surprise you. A 50-year British study shows that quitting at age 30 could give you an entire decade. Kicking the habit at age 40, 50, or 60 can add 9, 6, or 3 years to your life, respectively.

  • In an ever more digital world, pen and paper are increasingly getting replaced with screens and keyboards in classrooms. Now, a new study has investigated neural networks in the brain during hand and typewriting and showed that connectivity between different brain regions is more elaborate when letters are formed by hand.

  • This improved brain connectivity, which is crucial to memory building and information encoding, may indicate that writing by hand supports learning.

  • George Carlin estate sues over fake comedy special purportedly generated by AI

  • The lawsuit filed in federal court in Los Angeles on Thursday asks that a judge order the podcast outlet Dudesy to immediately take down the audio special, “George Carlin: I’m Glad I’m Dead,” in which a synthesis of Carlin delivers commentary on current events. Carlin died in 2008.
