Think yourself younger — There was a fascinating study by psychology and mindfulness researcher Ellen Langer, PhD's "counterclockwise study2," in which she put up a group of older men in a home designed to be from 20 years earlier—complete with old magazines, news, sports, TV, music, and photos of their younger selves. Within a week, participants reported improvements in memory and strength. They were literally able to think themselves younger.

Texas Girl Born in Jail Heading to Harvard After Graduating at the Top of Her Class
A Texas girl who was born in jail is making a name for herself after graduating from high school at the top of her class, with plans to attend Harvard University.
Eighteen years after she was born in the Galveston County Jail, Aurora Sky Castner graduated third in her class at Conroe High School on Thursday night, The Courier reported.
$1 Billion Donation Will Provide Free Tuition at a Bronx Medical School
The 93-year-old widow of a Wall Street financier has donated $1 billion to a Bronx medical school, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, with instructions that the gift be used to cover tuition for all students going forward.
The donor, Dr. Ruth Gottesman, is a former professor at Einstein, where she studied learning disabilities, developed a screening test and ran literacy programs. It is one of the largest charitable donations to an educational institution in the United States and most likely the largest to a medical school.
