“There are 7 in our [book club]. We have all become dear friends and enjoy our meetings & lunches.”
“I actually belong to SIX book clubs but because we often discuss popular literature (or our choice based on a theme), the monthly choices tend to overlap frequently so I can keep up. 😃”
“I just had cataract surgery in both eyes. Now I feel that I can read without straining my eyes! :)”

Osteoporosis is a health disorder where bones become fragile, which is why people with osteoporosis are at increased risk for fractures.
Luckily, there are steps you can take today to protect your bones as you age.
Financial advisors are everywhere. What’s the right choice for you?
It’s important to not select the least expensive advisor you find. Have a thoughtful conversation with several advisors, and pick one who can serve you (and your money) best.
LONGEVITY TIP OF THE DAY
Sleep in the Dark—”But I already sleep in the dark!” you may be saying to yourself. Yes, but did you know that sleep in actual blackout conditions can lead to a better night’s sleep? And regularly getting high quality sleep has a a major impact on longevity. Try replacing your curtains with blackout blinds or invest in a good, comfortable sleep mask.
Slang Phrase of the Day
Word: “SMH“
Definition: “SMH” stands for “shaking my head”. Often used in text messages to show disappointment or disbelief at a situation.
Used in a Sentence: “They are already 45 minutes late. SMH.”
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY
If you’ve ever driven past a landfill site, you’ve probably hurried to roll up your windows. That’s because landfill releases a lot of methane gas. That stinks—because methane is a major greenhouse gas polluter.
Now, scientists at the University of Sydney have developed a process of capturing that methane and turning it into jet fuel, solving a waste problem and using it as a renewable source of fuel.
An orphaned bear cub is doing well two weeks after she was pulled from a tree by a group of people apparently looking to take pictures with her, an animal rescue said Tuesday.
"Following a time to adjust to being in our care she was introduced to another orphaned cub that arrived previously. Both cubs are thriving and doing well in care," Appalachian Wildlife Refuge Executive Director Savannah Trantham said.
