When I was young and raising a family on limited funds, I didn’t have many extras in terms of kitchen tools. Just the usual knives, can opener, potato peeler, wooden spoons, a mixer, and a ladle. I got by just fine as a stay-at-home mom, an “earth mother” of sorts (it was the 70s, after all!).
