Yesterday’s Poll Results: How do you automate your finances?
For a lot of people, automatic bill payments through their bank or service providers are the easiest way to go. Some swear by budgeting apps that sync with their accounts, while others like to set up automatic transfers to their savings or investment accounts. A few still prefer to keep things manual, and some have their own creative ways of managing finances. Thanks for sharing your thoughts—we always love hearing from you!
Top comments & sentiments:
“I pay online as each bill comes by email/text, one at a time. That way it's never late.”
“I do all three - auto bill pay, budgeting app, automatic transfers... I check my accounts online every morning and in doing so I have found a couple of times where somewhere obtained my husband's debit card number and used it for purchases. When you catch them early, you stop them and the bank reimburses you. BTW, we no longer use a debit card but a money-back credit card, paying off the monthly bill in full with no interest accumulating.”
“I have a few automated payments for items we have purchased. Having worked for a utility, I would never allow one to automatically draft from my account.”
While we can’t publish them all, we do read and appreciate every comment. Some comments are edited to make room for more contributions.
